About Us

Linear Acoustic® is the leading authority in multi-channel loudness control and 5.1 channel upmixing, and is focused on helping broadcasters deliver a captivating audio experience that complies with regulations and recommendations like CALM and EBU R-128.

We design and manufacture the AERO series of audio processing and loudness management solutions, including the AERO.air®, AERO.one®, AERO.lite ™, AERO.mobile™, AERO.qc®, and AERO.file™.  In addition, we offer the LAMBDA-II™ digital audio and metadata monitor, the LQ-1000™ loudness quality monitor, and the UPMAX® 5.1-channel upmixer.

Linear Acoustic licenses several of its key technologies to other leading broadcast manufacturers, and is actively involved in the creation of standards and practices for digital television audio.

We are a proud member of the ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) and a sustaining member of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers).  We are also a founding member of the DTV Audio Group.

Linear Acoustic provided upmixing equipment and technical services for NBC's coverage of the 2008 Beijing Summer Games, and provided 24 AERO.qc units and technical services for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.

In 2008, Linear Acoustic became part of the Telos Alliance, makers of the Telos series of multi-line and broadcast telephone systems and hybrids, the Axia line of consoles and networking solutions for radio stations, and the Omnia family of AM, FM, HD, and streaming broadcast audio processors.

Linear Acoustic products are proudly designed and assembled at our headquarters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
